About the Speaker:
Jennifer has attained certification as a Certified Financial Planner™ professional. As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA), Jennifer specializes in financial issues specific to divorce.
Jennifer has taught financial planning workshops at prominent companies in the Bay Area on topics such as retirement planning, investment strategies, Social Security, healthcare in retirement, estate planning, college funding, women’s finances, and financial planning for the LGBTQ community. Currently, she teaches the Divorce Options® workshop program through Collaborative Divorce California.
Jennifer earned her bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University and her master’s degree from Golden Gate University. She is a member of the Institute of Divorce Financial Analysts, Collaborative Practice East Bay, Collaborative Practice San Francisco, and a board member of Collaborative Practice California.

About the Speakers
Barry Mendelson, CFP is a Wealth Advisor & Managing Partner at ZRC Wealth Management. Barry has been in the financial services since 1994 and he takes a comprehensive approach to investing and wealth management. Barry is a past president of the FPA East Bay Chapter and leader in the Cancer Support Community. He earned his BA in Economics and Accounting from UC Santa Barbara.
Kristin Nicholson, CFP, CFA, is a Senior Wealth Manager at First Republic Investment Management. She joined First Republic in 2004 and has more than two decades of experience in the investment industry, starting her career as a stock analyst and then continuing into wealth management. Kristin completed her undergraduate education at Indiana University and she received an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. Kristin is a board member of SHE-CAN Global, a non-profit organization that helps young women from post-conflict countries attend US universities.
Marilyn Suey, CFP, AIF, is a Wealth Manager with the Diamond Group. Marilyn specializes in working with business owner, executives and health care professionals to guide them toward financial independence. Marilyn has over 30 years of corporate experience which provides insight to help her clients and their families on their financial journey. Marily is a life-long learner with dual degrees in Applied Mathematics and Economics from UC Berkeley and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

He began his career in financial services in 1996 as an advisor with Prudential Securities. About Our Speakers
Gregg is past President of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of San Francisco and continues to serve on the Programs Committee. He currently serves on the board of the Community Media Center of Marin as Vice Chair and he also is an adjunct professor in the Masters in Financial Planning program at Golden Gate University in San Francisco. He continues to participate in the FPA Residency program as a mentor.
Gregg lives with his wife, Tiffani, in San Rafael, California, and together they are actively involved in the community through volunteer work for charitable organizations. Gregg participates in a variety of outdoor sports and activities, which includes multiple wine tasting trips. He also enjoys spending as much time as possible with family and friends – his personal goal is to laugh every chance he gets.
As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), Sabrina helps clients build a framework for informed financial decision making. She works with career engaged couples to communicate openly about their finances and shared financial goals. Located in San Francisco, Sabrina has an expertise in managing concentrated stock positions and structuring equity management strategies pre- and post IPO.

“The Complicated Path of Politics and Investments”
Join us for a conversation with global investment and political affairs expert John Emerson. John has enjoyed a fascinating career including the opportunity to serve as the US Ambassador to Germany from 2013 to 2017 where he gained a unique perspective on international relations. He’s since returned to a leadership role at Capital Group, where he has worked for 21 years. John will talk about various geopolitical topics based upon his experience working in Washington, DC and Germany. He will talk about themes such as globalization and trade. He will also discuss the Ukraine/Russia conflict and relations with China. We will have plenty of time for John to take our questions as well.
John Emerson is vice chair of Capital Group. He has 21 years of industry experience, all with Capital Group. He served as the United States ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany (2013-2017). In 2015, John was awarded the State Department’s Susan M. Cobb Award for Exemplary Diplomatic Service, which is given annually to one non-career ambassador, and in 2017 he was awarded the CIA Medal and the U.S. Navy’s Distinguished Public Service award. Prior to accepting the ambassadorial posting, John was president of Capital Group Private Client Services. Before joining Capital, he was deputy assistant to President Clinton where he coordinated his economic conferences, served as the president’s liaison to the nation’s governors, and led the administration’s efforts to obtain congressional approval of the GATT Uruguay Round Agreement and the extension of China’s MFN trading status. Additionally, he was appointed by President Obama to serve on his Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations. Before working in the Clinton White House, John served as Los Angeles Chief Deputy City Attorney, and was a partner in the law firm of Manatt, Phelps, Rothenberg, and Phillips. John holds an honorary doctor of laws degree from Hamilton College, a juris doctor degree from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Hamilton College.
