On October 2nd, the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of the East Bay held an engaging seminar, “Finding Opportunity in the Energy & Power Systems Transformation,” presented by Eli Horton, Senior Portfolio Manager. The event provided attendees with key insights into the global energy transition and highlighted the immense opportunities emerging from the transformation of traditional energy and power systems.
Key Highlights from the Seminar
Eli Horton discussed how “brown-to-green” companies are leading the charge in the energy revolution. While many investment strategies focus solely on green technology companies, Mr. Horton emphasized that the greatest opportunities lie in legacy industries adapting to this new reality. He pointed out that significant investments are required in these “old economy” businesses, which are critical in supporting the global shift toward cleaner, more sustainable energy solutions.
Attendees gained a thorough understanding of the current state of the energy and power landscape, as well as actionable insights into where the best investment opportunities lie over the next decade.
