Matt Hougan is the Chief Investment Officer at Bitwise Asset Management, overseeing more than $10 billion in crypto-focused assets across ETFs, index funds, SMAs, and active strategies.
Before joining Bitwise, he served as CEO of ETF.com, building the first ETF rating system and launching the world’s largest ETF conference. His work has appeared in Forbes, Barron’s, CNBC, and Bloomberg, and he has co-authored two CFA Institute Research Foundation guides on ETFs and cryptoassets.
Matt is also the co-founder of Future Proof, the largest financial conference in the world, and serves on the boards of several fintech and AI-based investment companies. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Bowdoin College.
