Event Recap: CalCPA and FPA Joint Happy Hour | FPA East Bay

Building Connections Across the East Bay Financial Community

On June 11, financial professionals from across the East Bay gathered at Chicken Pie Shop in Walnut Creek for an evening of networking, conversation, and community during the CalCPA and FPA Joint Happy Hour.

Hosted by CalCPA and FPA East Bay, the event brought together CPAs, CFP® professionals, advisors, and other financial services professionals in a relaxed setting designed to strengthen relationships and foster new connections.

An Evening of Networking and Collaboration

One of the greatest strengths of the financial services profession is the ability to learn from and collaborate with other professionals who serve clients in complementary ways.

The happy hour provided attendees with the opportunity to:

  • Reconnect with colleagues and industry peers
  • Meet new professionals from across the East Bay
  • Strengthen referral relationships
  • Exchange ideas and industry insights
  • Expand their professional networks in a welcoming environment

The casual atmosphere at Chicken Pie Shop made it easy for conversations to flow naturally, allowing attendees to focus on relationship-building and meaningful discussions rather than formal presentations or agendas.

The Value of Cross-Professional Relationships

As financial planning and tax planning become increasingly interconnected, collaboration between advisors and CPAs continues to play an important role in delivering comprehensive client guidance.

Events like this create opportunities for professionals to build the trusted relationships that often lead to stronger client outcomes, improved communication, and long-term professional partnerships.

Whether attendees were long-time members of CalCPA or FPA East Bay, or were attending their first event with either organization, the evening highlighted the value of bringing together professionals who share a commitment to serving clients at the highest level.
