Welcome to November!
It is time to start thinking about The Salvation Army Food and Toy Drive. As you might imagine, things will be different again this year. The Salvation Army has been working hard behind the scenes to institute safety measures to be sure donors, clients, volunteers, and employees are safe and to insure that making a donation is as easy as possible. The process will again be moved online where each donor can select a child to adopt. As of November 1st, the online Angel Tree program has all children and seniors with their gift lists uploaded for your consideration. As is always the case, there is a huge need, at least 600 families this year, and The Salvation Army does not turn anyone away.
Our chapter continues to be one of their largest supporters during the holidays. We are fortunate that our industry has not been impacted by the pandemic like many others. With the disruption to supply chains, parents know there is no guarantee their child’s first choice will be available. Shop early to increase your chance of success. Let’s make this another terrific year of giving! The site has been updated to accept “cash” donations or you can choose to adopt a child or children directly.

This site shows both the “Adopt An Angel” icon and the “Donate Online” icon in the upper right-hand corner. By clicking on the donation icon, it will still bring the donor to the Virtual Red Kettle. The Virtual Red Kettle donations will be used to support our Christmas program and on-going operations. You can still do this without having to adopt a child.
