Jim Barnett, NBA Player and Warrior Broadcaster
Sports frequently shines a spotlight on young women and men and the lessons learned from sports at an early age can teach many life lessons. Jim Barnett was the 8th player selected in the 1966 NBA draft by the Boston Celtic. Jim played in the league for over ten years and has been a broadcaster for the past 34 years. Jim played alongside players such as Bill Russell, Rick Barry and Nate Thurmond. Jim is going to share his observations from a life in basketball and from his front row seat during the Warriors historic championship run. We look forward to seeing you at our May Chapter Meeting!
