The East Bay Chapter of the Financial Planning Association offers many benefits to those entering the financial planning profession. If you’re a student, CFP® certificant, or career transitioner, we have events and opportunities to engage you with financial planning professionals and expand your industry knowledge through educational and social networking events.


East Bay Chapter Activities – We hold monthly educational events, social networking events, pro bono activities, and an annual golf tournament.

Career Center – Postings for both financial planning employers and job seekers can be found here.

Scholarship Programs – The FPA East Bay chapter and FPA National offer scholarships to students to help with their educational and practice development.

Study Groups – FPA East Bay chapter members organize and host a variety of formal and informal study groups.

Bay Area Financial Planning Education Programs

University of California, Berkeley Extension Program
UC Berkeley Extension is very generously offering a 10% discount to FPA members registering for the Survey of Personal Financial Planning course.  To receive the discount you must enroll by phone, instead of enrolling via the web site.  Please call the Registration Office staff at (510) 642-4111 to request manual enrollment and provide your FPA membership number to receive the discount.
