About FPA East Bay

The purpose of the Financial Planning Association of the East Bay is to promote, to the public, the financial planning profession and the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation and CFP® service mark as the designation of choice.

We are dedicated to support our members’ success by providing continuing professional development. We aspire to be the preeminent financial planning organization, encompassing not just financial advisors, but associated professionals as well.

Success for us is, meeting the needs of our members while increasing public awareness of the financial planning process, and is measured by active member participation and public recognition.

Our Chapter is an experienced and diverse group with over 400 members. We meet on the first Wednesday of the month (with the exception of June and July) for breakfast from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Round Hill Country Club in Alamo.

The Chapter meetings are of a technical nature for financial services professionals and are not open to the public.

Those who are not yet members of the Financial Planning Association are invited to attend.  The advance meeting fee is $45 for FPA members, $65 for non-members, $35 for FPA members going through the CFP® Program and $45 for 1st-Time Non-member Guests. Registration not received by the Friday preceding the general meeting by 2pm will be considered at-the-door registrants and are subject to $55 for FPA members, $75 for non-members, $45 for FPA members going through the CFP® Program respectively; please see the meeting notice for complete reservation details.
